What is Wicount?
Wicount brings you hand-picked, limited time offers from the best events, restaurants and activities in Joburg (more cities coming soon). These deals are generated from our group buying power, requiring a minimum number of people to buy them to make the deal happen.
What is social buying and how do I get in on the deal?
Social (or group) buying is a great way to get what you want at a huge discount. Because we guarantee our merchants we’ll sell lots of their stuff in a very short time frame, they offer great discounts. To get in on these deals, all you have to do is click the “Buy” button and you’ll be counted as part of a “group”. You do not have to form a group yourself; anyone who signs up for the deal counts. We like to include everyone! Once the minimum number of people sign up for the same deal, you all reap the benefits!
Does it cost me anything to create an account or sign up for your mailing list?
Nope, nada, niks, nothing! In fact, you benefit by being the first to hear about our deals, some of which may also have maximum amounts available. All deals run for a limited time, so get in there before they’re gone!
I like today's deal - how do I get it?
Just click "BUY" before the offer ends. If the minimum number of people sign up, we'll charge your card and send you a link to print your Wicount. If not enough people join, no one gets it (and you won't be charged), so tell all your friends to make sure you get the deal!
Why do you only feature so few deals at a time?
Too many choices is not always a good thing. We focus on a few great deals at a time and offer them at fantastic prices to make things simple for you. Trust us.
Once I click “Buy”, when will I be charged?
After you complete the easy and quick purchase process, you will receive an email (be sure to check that it hasn’t been filtered into your Spam folder) confirming that you’re committed, but not charged. Only after the minimum number of people sign up for the deal will we charge your card. You’ll receive your Wicount voucher for the deal via email once the promotion expires.
How will I know if the deal has been a success?
You will receive an email letting you know, or, you can watch the Wicount tracking bar on the website. It's actually pretty exciting to do, and is great for boring moments at work.
When will I receive my Wicount voucher(s)?
As long as the required minimum number of users commit to the deal, you will receive your voucher(s) by email when the deal expires. You may also access your vouchers online by logging in to wicount.co.za, clicking on “your account” at the bottom of the page, and then selecting the appropriate deal.
If the deal minimum is met (or a deal that has reached the minimum has successfully ended) and you’ve waited more than 48 hours but still don’t see your voucher in your inbox (make sure it’s not stuck in your SPAM folder), please use the contact us form to let us know, or email us: info@wicount.co.za.
Do I need to print my voucher?
Unless otherwise noted on the voucher itself, you must print the voucher and present it to the merchant. Please make sure you have access to a printer before purchasing.
When can I first use my voucher(s)?
This information will be printed on your voucher and you can find it in the deal “Fine Print” section on our website. Vouchers can typically be redeemed the next day, unless otherwise stated.
When will the voucher expire?
The expiration date will be stated on the voucher and in the “fine print” on our website. This expiration date is binding, except where prohibited by law.
Is an ID required to redeem my voucher?
Yes, please always bring a valid government ID with you when redeeming your voucher. If you give a voucher to someone as a gift, that person should bring his/her ID when redeeming. The merchant may record your name and ID number to prevent fraud and counterfeiting.
How many vouchers will I receive if I buy a package deal?
For packages that include several different products or services, you will typically receive a separate voucher for each product or service.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. The voucher(s) you will receive by email are issued by the merchant, not us. You should address all issues with the products or services you receive to that merchant (unless of course it is a problem with our website). However, if you are unable to contact the merchant after attempting to do so, please contact us at info@wicount.co.za.
Are the vouchers transferable?
Yes, they are fully transferable, unless otherwise noted, so you can give them as gifts or resell them (while following all applicable laws.)
Wait, my name is on the Wicount voucher. Are you sure I can use this as a gift?
Yes!
If I don't use the full value of the Wicount voucher in one visit, can I use the remainder later?
No. Unless otherwise stated you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever you don't use. Bring a friend - share a little!
Can I combine my Wicount voucher with other offers or specials?
No... not unless the voucher specifically states otherwise.
Do you have a privacy policy?

Is my credit card information secure?
Yes, we use a fully encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. No, that’s not a hip replacement.
I missed yesterday’s deal, can I still join it?
Unfortunately, no. Each Wicount deal has a very specific window of availability. We may do a similar deal in the future, but we offer no guarantees, allow no backorders, and have no waiting/notification lists. But, please send us an email to let us know that you missed out on the deal and would like to see another one like that soon.
What if I buy a voucher from a merchant who goes out of business?
We carefully research and select all of our merchants – we only feature great deals at great places - so our merchants should be in business. Nonetheless, technically, it is the merchant’s responsibility to reimburse you, not ours. We will do what we can to not feature any businesses that present a risk to your redemption.

Where did you get the name "Wicount?"
Well, we actually wanted “Wecount”, but, someone else snagged it. Then, we thought about Wiicount, but, thought Nintendo Wii fans may get confused, and, we also thought Nintendo would sue the pants off of us. You can use most Wicounts the day after the deal ends on our site - our featured businesses typically request we hold back the masses on the first day while they see to the phones. You can print your Wicount as soon as you receive it in your inbox, or from your account on our website, right after the deal is finished on our site.
